Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald promo teases trailer release
It’s time to return to the Wizarding World.
Warner Bros. Pictures has released a brief tease for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, confirming that the film’s full trailer will be released on Tuesday, March 13. Check it out above.
The promo encourages viewers to get their wands ready before quite literally diving back into the world of Harry Potter, finishing on a montage of fans eagerly awaiting Rowling’s next tale of witchcraft and wizardry.
The sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Crimes of Grindelwald will follow the adventures of Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore as they set off to stop the villainous Gellert Grindelwald from assembling an army of pure-blood wizards in an effort to take over the world.
The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of five planned films in the Fantastic Beasts series, each of which is reportedly set to take place in a different city from all around the world.
Up until now, the most we’ve been able to see of the upcoming sequel is a collection of still photos, with tomorrow’s trailer set to provide our best look yet at the cast and locales of the Paris-set next adventure.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald features the return of Eddie Redmayne alongside Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller. It is directed by longtime Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts director David Yates, with a screenplay by J.K. Rowling herself.
We’ll have the trailer for the next movie in the Wizarding World tomorrow. Fantastic Beasts will be out in theaters on November 16.
